There are many warnings from the iDevice users over the internet to not upgrade the device's iOS. Maintain untethered jailbroken state on older iOS version is more better than doing update to the newly iOS 4.3.4. It's absolutely right! Don't do this update!
Apple was fix the security vulnerabilities on their iOS 4.3.3 and older versions by puts patches for PDF flaw exploit. As a result, JailbreakMe 3.0 (for jailbreak through Safari Mobile browser), that has been released by the Comex few days earlier could not be done anymore.
The real problem is not only merely about updating security flaw. A news coming from the experience jailbreaker named @i0n1c from his Twitter account. Stefan Esser, the real name of i0n1c, member of Apple Dev Team jailbreaking group, was confirmed that Apple hasn’t successfully patched the hole used by Comex on his PDF exploit jailbreak (jailbreakme.com).
Even so, untethered jailbreak method was closed by Apple. The untethered jailbreak of iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, with iOS 4.3.4, will no longer possible (soon), because Apple has added a code to dydl; which capable to detect attacks with binaries using incomplete code signing. This attack type has been used in the untethered jailbreak exploit since iOS version 4.0.1. As a result, as i0n1c mentioned on his Twitter, untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.4 is not coming soon.
So, after all the news about iDevice jailbreak, it seems that untethered jailbroken state can't be gotten, at least and if we were lucky, utill the release of final golden master (Apple's release) version of iOS 5; maybe this fall. So, we'll wait for expert jailbreakers to overcome their challenges on the next iOS 5 :-). When there was then any possibilities to do the iOS 5 jailbreak, then users would very thanks and greatly appreciated.
