Now, it has three years since the very first version of PwnageTool that was released. Almost every new iOS version can be jail-broken with this tool. The 4.3.1 untether works on all devices that actually support 4.3.1 (even the new 4.3.2 version) except for the iPad2:
- iPhone3GS,
- iPhone4 (GSM),
- iPod touch 3G,
- iPod touch 4G,
- iPad1,
- AppleTV 2G (PwnageTool only for now).
As you know, jailbreaking is now legal. Consumers should be allowed to jailbreak their iPhones and install whatever applications they like: not just those approved by Apple. Unlocking your iPhone to install non-approved apps is a legal exemption to the DMCA, the Copyright Office has just ruled.
iOS 4.3.2 version on iPhone 4, iPad and iPod touch 3G/4G has been successfully jailbroken using custom PwnageTool bundles. The jailbreak though is tethered only for current state, which means that you will have to boot it into jailbroken state every time you reboot.
The complete jailbreak guide for iOS 4.3.2, can be opened here (for iPhone 4).
